Reconditioning HQ

Making the complexSimple

Reconditioning is a way of thinking for therapists, coaches and performance professionals who refuse to outsource their thinking, and want to confidently solve the cases that don't fit the textbook.

“My confidence with complex cases changed immediately. It has instilled a new fire and appreciation for what I do daily.”

“This changed how I think, not just what I do. I can't recommend Scott and Jaime enough.”

What is Reconditioning?

Reconditioning trains you to work confidently in the grey area between rehabilitation and performance, where progress depends less on protocols and more on understanding how the body and brain adapt together.

Grounded in anatomy, biomechanics and neurophysiology, it looks at the whole human system: muscle, joint and nervous system. Instead of chasing symptoms or isolated metrics, you learn how the brain perceives, processes and directs movement, and how to refine motor control and durability from the inside out.

For professionals, it's more than a skillset. It's a way of thinking and practising: seeing the entire system, making better decisions under uncertainty, and helping people move, feel and perform with lasting confidence.

It isn't a protocol.
It's a thinking process.

Reconditioning doesn't ask you to abandon your education. It gives the expertise you already have a common problem-solving framework.

The grey area

The most challenging clients are the ones who make you think

  • The person whose pain keeps returning.
  • The athlete who is technically recovered but still isn't performing.
  • The client who responds beautifully to an intervention until they don't.
  • The person who has seen three other practitioners and arrives hoping you might see something everyone else has missed.

You're not missing effort, education or intent. You're missing an integrated way to think about complex humans.

How Reconditioning thinks

We don't want you simply knowing more

We want you seeing more clearly and making better decisions, one complex client at a time.

  1. Step 1

    Understand the problem

Who is this person, what state are they in, and what do they need their body to do?

  2. Step 2

    Know where to start

Slow the problem down, organise what you're seeing and pick the right first move.

  3. Step 3

    Know how to redirect

Reassess honestly and change course when the body tells you something new.

  4. Step 4

    Know how to progress

Build the road back from relief to resilience to performance.

New to Reconditioning?

Questions people ask first

Who is Reconditioning for?

Physiotherapists, athletic therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, osteopaths, kinesiologists, and strength, performance and sport coaches. It works with the education you already have rather than replacing it.

Is it a set of techniques?

No. You'll pick up plenty of skills and exercises, but the core is a way of thinking that helps you decide when, where and why to use what you already know.

Is the program online or in person?

The Complete Reconditioning Experience is delivered live online. The two-day Live Reconditioning Experience in Montreal is the one time the cohort gathers in person.
